Are you always chasing rainbows?
Is chasing rainbows a negative or positive thing? The definition of this phrase is,
“…trying to achieve something that is not possible or practical”
So, what is the difference between chasing rainbows and having dreams? Do we have to live so rooted in the practical and possible that we never achieve our dreams?
There is an absolutely hauntingly beautiful rendition of “I’m always chasing rainbows” by Judy Garland in the 1941 movie Ziegfield Girl. It is below- for you to enjoy.
If you know the story of the film it takes three women through the highs and lows of success, failure and the cost of your dreams. There is a happy ending for some, sadness for others. Is that not how life often is? Do we avoid chasing rainbows for fear of failure? Do we abandon our dreams because there may be bumps in the road?
Chasing rainbows…with help!
One of the problems with dreams is that not everyone will always share them. It can be a lonely road trying to pursue your passion and find your purpose. I have experienced many ups and downs in my own life, triumphs and failures. One thing I have always done is seek help when I hit those setbacks. I have not just been a Law of Attraction teacher for most of my life; I have been a Law of Attraction learner too. I understand that there is not always a pot of gold at the end of every rainbow…so I have looked for another rainbow! Mistakes shape us and are not to be feared.
Don’t look back on the past with regret, look at it as a learning curve. It is part of your journey towards your true purpose. Look forward with hope and optimism and when your resolve falters, ask for help! Find a good coach or consultant to get you through the parts of your dream that you are unsure of. Look for inspiration in great writings when you are feeling discouraged.
Use the Law of Attraction to catch the rainbow!
Chasing rainbows does not need to be a hopeless affair. Harness the power of the Law of Attraction to clearly visualize your dream, in technicolor detail. Living in the present moment will keep you focused on the now and is actually a very practical approach to achieving your dreams! Yes, you can look to the future but you should also make sure you don’t miss the opportunities in the present. All too often our fears for tomorrow mean we miss our chances today. When we fully connect to the now, all sorts of doors open. Our minds are much clearer, our thinking so much more positive and we attract the good into our lives.
Rainbows are beautiful, so full of possibility and we traditionally see them as out of reach. It doesn’t have to be that way. You can live a life full of purpose, passion and possibility and manifest your dreams if you have the courage to change your thinking. My life’s passion is to bring happiness into people’s lives and I get real joy from seeing people living their lives with purpose and smiles. The ripple effect of you living your life with purpose is your family and friends benefit too. Those who may have poured cold water on your dreams are now attracted to your happiness and it has a positive impact on many others.
Don’t you owe it to yourself to live your best possible life? Don’t see just the rain in the rainbow, see the brilliant sunshine that created that magnificent happy colorfulness. Understand that, we need the rain for the rainbow to exist, but don’t dwell on it as a negative. Rain is part of life, it helps our planet to grow and flourish, and rainbows are a reward from nature!
