Affirmations- Do They Work? Learn Affirmations Here

Affirmations, You Use Them All the Time!

Whether you realize it or not you have been using affirmations your entire life. The question is, do you know what you’re affirming? Because, whatever you affirm, that is exactly what you have been bringing into your life. Are you saying things like “I’m too fat, or I’m not smart enough, or I’m lazy, or I never get picked for the good stuff, or I’m not lucky, or ……” I hope not, but chances are you are affirming some of that or at least something similar to those things. These negative affirmations are just as powerful as positive “I AM’s”.

Watch my video to further understand this…”Affirmations and Making Them Work For You”

One of my mentors, Dr. Wayne Dyer writes http://www.drwaynedyer.com/blog/the-power-of-i-am

“Throughout life you’ve been through a conditioning process that’s created a mind-set overflowing with I am nots. As a schoolchild with a less than satisfactory grade on your report card, you thought to yourself, I am not smart. You place anywhere other than number one and say, I am not talented. You feel criticized and believe that I am not good. You look in the mirror and compare yourself to a glamorous movie idol or homecoming queen and tell yourself, I am not attractive. Your relationship fractures and you think, I am unloved or I am unworthy. These, and many more like them, are repeated throughout your developmental years and into adulthood, and become your core defining self-concept.”

Positive Affirmations Can Change Your Core Concept

You can change your core concept of yourself, but you must take conscious action to do it. First you have to realize and even admit that you’re saying those disempowering things to yourself, about yourself. Recognize these negative affirmations. Then when you notice your destructive inner talk you can correct it with your new and empowering affirmations. For example let’s try some affirmations that will actually bring you a better self image and that elusive success you’ve been trying to achieve. Say something like, I Am Successful, I Am a Money Magnet, I Am Healthy, I Am Talented and Successful. Start with the words I Am and then finish the statement with something positive.

Now let’s go one step further and add the words I am at the end of the sentence. Something like: I Am Lucky in Love, I Am. Are you getting the idea?

At first you affirm what you want as if it’s already happened and then you reaffirm it by adding the second I Am. You should say it in a confident and commanding tone. Say it in a way you would believe it if it came out of someone else’s mouth. At first you may feel like a fraud and not believe yourself, but keep on doing it. The idea is to keep saying it until you convince yourself. Until one day you will say it and surprise yourself because it feels so comfortable, so true. That’s when the magic happens.

Affirmations Empower You to Change from Negative to Positive

The key here is that affirmations can help you to change your destructive self talk. After all, you are with yourself 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You have the power within to create happiness and success, or misery and destruction. It’s up to you and positive affirmations along with other empowering tools such as Visualization will empower you to make that change.

I LOVE your Successful Sunday Start this week. Affirmations changed my life!!!! Excellent subject to discuss with your followers. Affirmations are what brought me to collaborate on a book with Eckhart Tolle. That’s why I am now sharing my story with the world. And with that, I share with every one how to use affirmations correctly and exactly what I did to achieve confidence and success. That’s why I’ve also created DVD’s and CD’s and apps for you! I guide you through wonderful affirmations and explain and teach all about their importance and how to use them correctly. Peace and love, Michele http://www.PeaceInThePresentMoment.net
