Happy Valentine’s Day!
I woke up this morning filled with gratitude that I have my dear Valentine Harry (my husband of over 34 years) to celebrate with. I wanted to infuse that beautiful feeling of love and appreciation into my blog and so began doing a bit of research on the meaning of Valentine’s Day.
Sadly the first thing I found was a page espousing the horrible way our culture has turned every holiday into a commercial paradise for the merchant and taken the actual meaning away. As I began to peruse that page I couldn’t help but agree with his facts, but not necessarily with the bitter way he’s decided to feel.
My inclination is to enjoy the holiday for what it represents AND give those merchants a bit of business too. After all, I like chocolate and valentines cards and roses and romantic dinners. Just because they profit doesn’t mean I’m not going to enjoy my Valentine’s Day and I wish the same for you.
Below find a collection of Valentine’s Day quotes that should help to get you in the mood for love.
As Wendy Williams said on her television show yesterday, “hey, for those of you who don’t have a Valentine to be with it’s only one day”. Then she cited a bunch of television shows dramatically depicting love turned to hate and murder. Well whatever we need, to feel gratitude is okay with me LOLLLLLLL
