I am interviewed on radio

Today I was interviewed on the radio. It’s such a lovely change to be the one answering the questions rather than asking them.  Doing a weekly radio show with guests is really fun and I love it, but when the tables are turned and I’m able to show my expertise I must admit it gets me a bit high.  I’m still in love with my field of interest and it’s been that way for most of my life. I don’t know many who can still say that. I feel blessed.

My Energy Comes & Goes

My Energy Comes & Goes

I just did a blog post on Purpose Over 50 on my teaching site.  Go here to read it: Purpose in life after 50

My purpose couldn’t be more clearly defined & I couldn’t be any more passionate about it, yet my energy level isn’t always what Icuddle would like it to be. At this stage in life rather than fighting it, arguing with it or trying to get around it I find myself accepting it.  I finally realize that my life doesn’t have to be a race and that my energy ebbs and flows. During my energetic periods I delve right in to my work and I’m sure to funnel my creativity to where it needs to go. When it’s just not there I’m now able to sit back, cuddle with hubby and my two furry babies and watch the tube guilt free.

Well, almost guilt free. I’m getting there…

My Gratitude Knows No Bounds

My Gratitude Knows No Bounds

Yes I’m grateful for my adorable 11 week old Puppy. Yes I love his softness, his puppy breath and the way he follows me around theI-am-grateful-for...-300x147 house. Yes I love giving him a bath and fluffing up that soft curly fur as I dry him with a towel. Yes I love the way his ears perk up and his curled tail wags in fast delight when hubby gets home.

But even I surprised myself when yesterday I appreciated a well aimed poop by the back door. Hey, at least he was going in the right direction!

Airport Challenge!

Airport Challenge!

Walking my talk is always meaningful. After all, if I’m not in integrity I could never do what I do and yes it can be challenging at times.  For example being grounded for 5 hours while trying to get home from visiting our son and daughter in law in Chicago. First the flight was cancelled, then it was on again, then while waiting to board there was lightening and thunder and the flight was canceled again.Lightning_over_city

We were told to wait and not leave the airport on the off chance the weather would clear. Clear it did and we boarded the plane only to sit strapped in our seats for THREE hours.  Oh yes, sometimes walking my talk can be a challenge!

Anyway, all wasn’t lost as I ended up making friends and having a laugh with a nearby passenger. I’m grateful for the adorable 13 year old sitting across the aisle from me who gave me lots of technology “how to’s” that I really needed.

All in all it was a pretty great trip and an educational flight home.
